Overview
The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining assigned landscaped areas to ensure they remain healthy, attractive, and well-kept. The role involves carrying out daily plant care activities, including watering, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and basic pest control, while operating gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently. This role is based at a corporate headquarters building and focuses on facility and outdoor and indoor greenery maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain plant health through regular watering, fertilising, and general upkeep
- Remove weeds from garden beds and surrounding areas to ensure a neat and tidy environment
- Conduct basic pruning to support healthy plant growth
- Trim and maintain small trees, hedges, shrubs, and grass areas
- Assist with planting activities, greenery display arrangements, and related preparatory work, including loading and unloading
- Clear garden waste such as fallen leaves, branches, and other debris
- Ensure the safe use, handling, and proper storage of gardening tools, equipment, fertilisers, and chemicals
- Carry out pest control measures when required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in gardening or landscape maintenance
- WSQ certification in landscape maintenance is preferred
- Experience in fertiliser and chemical application is an advantage
- Familiar with basic hand tools and light handheld machinery
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to complete tasks within required timelines
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in outdoor work and nature
