The FX and Cross Currency Support Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of FX and cross-currency payment systems. This position requires strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of financial markets, and the ability to implement site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.

Responsibilities

FX and Cross Currency Domain Knowledge:

• Leverage expertise in FX and cross-currency markets to support payment systems.
• Collaborate with trading and risk teams to address and resolve system-related issues.

L2 Production Support:

• Provide Level 2 support for FX and cross-currency payment platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems to ensure system stability.
• Maintain high availability and reliability of production systems.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):

• Apply SRE principles to enhance system reliability and operational performance.
• Automate workflows and develop tools to streamline operational processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.

Monitoring Tool Development:

• Design and develop advanced monitoring tools for proactive system issue identification.
• Integrate monitoring tools into the existing infrastructure to optimize performance.

Cloud / AWS Exposure:

• Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage cloud-based applications.
• Implement scalable and secure solutions to enhance system performance.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in cloud environments.

Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

• Domain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of FX and cross-currency markets.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with Level 2 production support and troubleshooting complex systems.
• SRE Practices: Knowledge of automating operational processes, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
