Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Innovation Enablement, the FVP (Group Innovation PMO) plays a key role in driving and accelerating UOB's critical AI‑, data‑, digital asset‑, and platform‑driven initiatives across the bank. This role sits at the centre of the Innovation Group's programs management unit, overseeing multiple concurrent, cross‑domain initiatives that cut across business lines, technology platforms, risk, data, and operations.
Beyond delivery, this role is foundational in shaping UOB's evolution into a network platform organization where products, channels, partners, data, and technology converge to deliver intelligent, interoperable, and scalable services.
The FVP will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure programmes are delivered in a structured, well-governed, and scalable manner.
Success in this role requires a rare combination of enterprise systems thinking, deep technology fluency, strong execution discipline, and executive‑level stakeholder management, with the ability to operate credibly across business, risk, compliance, and external ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Support Rapid‑Response Enterprise Transformation Engagements
- Support and coordinate rapid-response transformation engagements across priority business, operational, and platform initiatives.
- Assist in establishing programme governance, workplans, milestones, and reporting structures to drive execution.
- Monitor progress, risks, dependencies, and key outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Prepare management updates and support decision-making through structured analysis and reporting.
- Apply strong programme management, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills to drive timely delivery.
Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Support
- Support engagement with technology partners, fintechs, and external service providers involved in Innovation Group initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding, coordination, and tracking of partner-related activities.
- Maintain visibility of partnership initiatives and key deliverables.
Foster a Culture of Rapid Innovation & Modern Engineering
- Partner with Innovation Academy, HR, and relevant stakeholders to support capability-building initiatives in AI literacy, agile delivery, modern engineering, and platform thinking.
- Promote the adoption of innovation practices, continuous learning, and knowledge-sharing across teams.
- Support the development of talent pipelines through participation in training, mentoring, and innovation programmes.
Stakeholder Alignment and Programme Execution
- Support stakeholder alignment across business, technology, data, risk, compliance, and governance teams to facilitate programme delivery.
- Coordinate the development of ownership models, RACIs, governance requirements, funding considerations, and delivery plans for strategic initiatives.
- Monitor programme progress, risks, dependencies, and key milestones, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues.
- Facilitate governance forums, working groups, and management reporting to support effective decision-making and execution.
- Build collaborative relationships across stakeholders to drive coordinated execution and successful programme outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Core Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in programme management, project management, transformation, technology, innovation, or related functions.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Proven track record supporting the delivery of strategic or enterprise-wide programmes.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, data platforms, blockchain/digital assets, interoperability frameworks, and relevant regulatory considerations
Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
- Strong organisational and programme management skills.
- Structured thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
