Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the bank's overall goals.
- Oversee and manage daily operations within the assigned department or business unit, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage financial budgets, resources, and performance metrics to achieve optimal results.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with business operations and regulatory requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulators.
- Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the bank in internal and external forums as required.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on performance, progress, and strategic recommendations.
Job Requirements
Domain Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in banking, specifically across retail lending products and credit cards
- Strong background in credit origination, collections, credit risk portfolio management, and credit bureau reporting
- 5+ years of deep expertise in retail credit, including:
- Credit risk management (underwriting, credit decisioning, early warning, collections)
- Credit portfolio monitoring (scorecard development, risk segmentation, limit setting)
Technical & Functional Skills
- Ability to translate high-level business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements
- Skilled in designing end-to-end credit management processes, customer onboarding journeys, and integrated risk portfolio workflows
- Strong understanding of credit systems, decision rules, scoring engines, and their integrations across enterprise systems
- Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale Retail Credit system implementation programs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage a small team effectively
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex projects, teams, and achieving business targets.
- Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory environments.* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
