Our client is a well‑established and growing Singapore‑based financial services platform with a strong presence in futures and listed derivatives. As the business continues to expand its regional clearing operations, they are hiring a Futures Operations Associate to strengthen their back‑office capabilities and support daily clearing and settlement activities.
Responsibilities for the Futures Operations Associate - Futures Clearing:
- Manage daily clearing deadlines and ensure timely processing of exchange‑traded derivatives trades in line with regulatory, client, and internal requirements
- Execute daily settlement activities, including cash settlement, FX delivery, and options exercise and assignment
- Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, margins, and cash balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Support client margin processes and ensure accurate margin monitoring and reporting
- Maintain and update static data within internal systems, including client account openings and closures, contract setup, and fee or commission updates
- Ensure all clearing and settlement activities comply with MAS and SGX regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and regulatory reports to internal stakeholders and external parties where required
- Work closely with trading, risk, compliance, and other operations teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end post‑trade processing
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, controls, and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
Requirements for the Futures Operations Associate - Futures Clearing:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in futures or derivatives operations
- Hands‑on experience in clearing, settlements, reconciliations, and margin processes is required
- Strong understanding of MAS and SGX regulatory requirements
- Prior experience with SGX clearing systems such as CW2, ION XTP, or XTP Clearing is preferred
- Background in a sell‑side environment such as a futures broker, clearing member, or investment bank
- Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, regulated environment
- Able to operate independently while working effectively within a lean team
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese is preferred to support Greater China stakeholders
