Roles & Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials
- Build custom furniture such as tables, cabinets, wardrobes, and chairs
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design plans
- Operate woodworking machinery (saws, drills, sanders, etc.) safely
- Repair damaged furniture and perform maintenance work
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and finishing of all products
- Install furniture fittings, fixtures, and components
- Select appropriate materials based on project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with designers, supervisors, or clients when needed
Requirements
- Strong woodworking and carpentry skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Good measurement skills
- Knowledge of different wood types and materials
- Basic understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines , with flexibility to work extended hours when required
