At Direct Funeral Services, we believe every farewell should be personal, meaningful and handled with care. As a Funeral Director, you will walk alongside families during one of life's most difficult moments, offering both practical guidance and heartfelt support.
What you'll do:
- Offer comfort, counsel and a listening ear to bereaved families
- Arrange and oversee the collection and transportation of the deceased with dignity and respect
- Guide families through rites, rituals and funeral processions, ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Present the eulogy on behalf of the family on the funeral day, when requested
- Assist families with ash collection and related arrangements
- Coordinate and transport flowers, backdrops and other items needed for wake set-ups
- Keep our vehicles, equipment and facilities clean and ready for use
- Maintain high standards of service excellence and quality control
- Represent the company with professionalism, warmth and empathy at all times
- Make operational decisions and solve problems with a service-first mindset
- Support other operational tasks as needed to serve families well
What we're looking for:
- Proficiency in using basic computer tools
- At least 5-7 years experience in events or hospitality, with a strong service orientation
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients
- Someone with a steady presence, an empathetic heart, and the ability to stay organised under pressure
