UT Product Manager Job Description & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our Funds Product team, playing a critical role across funds due diligence, product management, and advisory initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of investments, sales enablement, compliance, and operations, ensuring that our fund offerings remain robust, competitive, and well‑governed while supporting strong commercial outcomes.

The team sits within the Deposits & Wealth Management function under UOB Personal Financial Services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the bank such as Product, Client Groups, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing, and act as a subject‑matter expert for fund solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Funds Due Diligence & Oversight

  • Identify fund ideas / gaps and work with product providers to avail suitable solutions and position investment themes for the Singapore platform
  • Lead new and ongoing fund due diligence on both products and product providers
  • Monitor, evaluate and understand fund performance, asset class risks, concentration risks etc.
  • Conduct ongoing funds risk rating and suitability reviews
  • Work closely with internal compliance, risks, and governance functions as part of the onboarding and monitoring processes
  • Lead and maintain the onboarding of funds for portfolio financing

Product Management & Governance

  • Serve as the key representative for Legal, Compliance, and Risk matters
  • Oversee KYC, corporate actions, CPFIS and SRS product governance
  • Act as liaison for Operations and Technology, supporting system enhancements, BAU issues, and continuous process optimization
  • Support sales surveillance, regulatory reviews, and ongoing platform governance
  • Support trade submission process and resolution of system issues

Funds Advisory & Sales Enablement

  • Drive new fund launches and marketing initiatives, including pitchbooks and campaign materials
  • Support fund advisory ideas using market data, analytics, and fund house engagements
  • Develop professional quality resources to empower client groups and enhance overall customer experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Client Groups, Marketing, Training) to provide solutions to customer segment needs

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are an advantage.
  • More than 7 years of related working experience
  • Strong understanding of funds, particularly key business drivers, guidelines, operational requirements, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, compliance, operations, and technology teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly Powerpoint and Excel
