Behind the scenes, it's two products on one platform: a matched marketplace for the people doing the hiring and an operating system that the agencies run their whole business on. Underneath both is a data layer, the largest dataset of real services pricing and outcomes anywhere, that makes every match smarter than the last.

The timing is the whole point. The $500B+ global agency services market is old and broken, and AI just blew the supply side open: 100+ AI-native services launched in the past year alone, with no platform connecting buyers to the new shape of supply. That gap has been open for years. We're building the company that fills it.

Role summary

We're an early-stage startup looking for our founding marketing hire to build, execute, and scale Matchii's brand and demand engine across key digital channels. You'll own channel strategy, execution, and optimization to drive awareness, pipeline, and long-term growth, bringing the brand to life through creative campaigns and clear storytelling for business and developer audiences and working across regions and with partners to keep everything aligned, timely, and effective. You won't inherit a brand playbook; you'll write it.

What you'll own

  • The brand, brought to life: one-of-a-kind brand campaigns and creative concepts for our business and developer audiences. Own the voice: confident, direct, warm, sharp, across everything we publish.
  • Multi-channel strategy and execution: develop and execute marketing strategies to grow awareness of Matchii in key North American markets in a results- and metrics-driven way.
  • Content pillars: build and maintain the content pillars based on our branding and marketing strategy.
  • The launch calendar: create content for different channels.
  • The agency-operator newsletter: built into an owned audience that compounds.
  • Partnerships and joint marketing: lead joint marketing with clients, agencies, and community partners to drive the brand narrative and growth.
  • Vendors and budget: Select, onboard, and manage external creative agencies and freelancers; manage campaign budgets and resource allocation for optimized ROI.
  • The culture and talent brand: the merch, IRL moments, and recognition rituals that make Matchii something agency talent wants to be associated with.

Who we're looking for

  • 5+ years in brand marketing, IMC, digital marketing, or related roles, with progressive experience as a brand leader in B2B technology.
  • You write, sharply, and you think in category, not just campaigns. You'd ship matched, not browsed, never the world's best agency platform.
  • A passion for creativity and for making complex topics and systems accessible and understandable.
  • A data-driven mindset: you turn quantitative and qualitative research into actionable insight.
  • Excellent program management: you identify workstreams, plan rollouts, and execute.
  • Experience building brands across wide functions and geographies, and building/scaling processes, budgets, tools, and programs.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage environment with high ambiguity, you build from scratch.
  • Taste and a point of view, you understand why the Linear / Notion / Cursor register beats standard SaaS marketing, and you can write in it.
  • Native or near-native English, with a strong grasp of North American business etiquette, idioms, culture, and market dynamics.

Preferred: optimizing and maintaining existing automation workflows (not only building new ones); familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools; integrated marketing campaigns, content operations, and performance optimization; background in B2B SaaS, AI, developer tools, or fintech.

Why this, why now

The category doesn't have a name yet, and you'd get to give it one. Hybrid agency becomes the default shape of services soon, and the company that defines it owns the narrative. You'd build that from zero, working directly with the founders, with a real product worth talking about underneath you.
