About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and hands-on Fund Administration & Tax Accountant to support the accounting, fund administration, tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements of a portfolio of companies, investment structures and individuals.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting capabilities and practical experience across bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, fund administration, corporate tax and Singapore tax compliance. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can manage the accounting cycle from transaction recording through to financial reporting and tax filing.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Fund Administration
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for companies, investment entities and funds.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Perform bank, investment and inter-company reconciliations.
- Assist with fund administration, including monitoring of fund transactions, subscriptions/redemptions, expenses, cash movements and investment records.
- Prepare management accounts and periodic financial reports.
- Compile and prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
- Coordinate with auditors and external service providers on annual audits and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and submit XBRL financial statements where required.
- Manage payroll processing and related statutory submissions.
Corporate Tax & GST
- Prepare and file Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) with IRAS.
- Prepare corporate tax computations and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and file Form C-S / corporate income tax returns with IRAS.
- Handle corporate tax compliance and ensure timely submission of statutory filings.
- Assist with tax planning and provide practical guidance on Singapore corporate tax matters.
- Manage GST registration, GST computations and GST returns/submissions.
- Liaise with IRAS and other relevant authorities on tax-related matters where required.
Personal Tax
- Prepare and file individual personal income tax returns.
- Prepare and submit IR8A and related employment income reporting.
- Assist individuals and/or principals with Singapore personal tax compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation.
Compliance & Advisory
- Monitor statutory filing deadlines and ensure all accounting and tax deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Stay updated on changes to Singapore accounting, corporate tax, GST and statutory regulations.
- Work closely with clients, directors, family offices, fund managers, auditors, tax advisors and other professional service providers.
- Identify accounting and tax issues and provide practical solutions where appropriate.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant with CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, tax, fund administration, audit or professional services.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore accounting and tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience with Singapore corporate tax filing, including ECI, Form C-S and corporate tax computations.
- Practical experience with GST registration and GST filing.
- Strong experience in bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with fund administration / investment accounting would be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with XBRL preparation and statutory reporting.
- Experience handling personal income tax and IR8A submissions is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills.
- Able to manage multiple entities, deadlines and stakeholders independently.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional rather than a purely reporting-focused accountant. You should be comfortable managing the full accounting and compliance cycle - from bookkeeping and reconciliations, through financial statement preparation and fund administration, to corporate tax computation and filing.
Experience supporting family offices, investment holding companies, funds, asset management firms or high-net-worth individuals would be particularly relevant.
