JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role is primarily responsible for handling the BAU-related tasks and streamlining of business processes for operational efficiency and excellence. The role is expected to understand the firm's in-house investment models and approach, such that he/she can independently validate trading signals generated by the investment team and ensure accurate placement of trades and transactions. Other responsibilities include NAV tracking/ calculation, positions/ trades reconciliation, and fund expenses & fund report validation.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Oversee the end-to-end subscription and redemption process, managing capital inflows and outflows by coordinating with fund administrators, transfer agents, and custodians
- Assist in the onboarding of new Custodian Banks and/or Financial Institutions.
- Perform reconciliation and maintenance on all clients records and updating of information into in-house record keeping systems.
- Generate reports such as Monthly AUM reports or ad hoc reports.
- Provide scheduled updates to Sales on Internal Funds Factsheets/Marketing Deck.
- The role is expected for all coordination/consolidation work related to: collection of retrocession fees; monthly sales charges for internal funds, monthly AUM from Relationship Officers and banks; act as POC for sorting and distribution of banks month/quarter end statements to ARMs.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelors Degree, ideally in Business or Finance
- Circa 5 years of working experience in the financial industry, (ie. Private Bank, External Assets Management, or Fund Admin Services).
- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Possessing Accounting background would be a plus.
- Dynamic individual who can adapt quickly to changes.
- A self-starter who can plan, organize, and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently, with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
