The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Fund Accountant to join our Fund Accounting team as part of our financial services business in Singapore.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Fund Accountant provides fund administration services to a portfolio of funds, mainly private equity funds, fund of hedge funds and fund of PE funds.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Fund Accounting Work

• responsible for daily processing of transactions for a portfolio of investment funds and the preparation of cash reconciliations
• prepare Net Asset Value (NAV) files for a portfolio of medium complexity investment funds.
• liaise with investment managers and administrator of underlying funds (where applicable) in relation to transaction activities as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation.
• prepare client compliance files, maintain the client database and perform general administrative functions related to client funds.
• assist in the invoicing process, collection of receivables and will liaise with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries.

Training and Development

• Demonstrating a commitment to acquiring new capabilities, constantly striving to improve performance;
• Proactively seeking out and taking advantage of training and development opportunities
• Developing a continuous learning plan with the consent of the VP and SVP

Risk Management

• Acting in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including complying with all MFS policies and procedures and internal guidance notes
• Reporting business issues to the Supervisor, VP or SVP

What You Bring

In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:

• will be a graduate with an excellent academic background, a professional accounting designation and at least 2 to 3 years relevant experience in investment fund accounting and offshore funds administration;
• Good English communication skills. Mandarin will be a plus.
• A team player with positive attitude to face clients and offer work-related assistance to clients and colleagues.
• Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines.
• Proactive and willing to handle task individually
