Job Title: Functional Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Functional Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The candidate will be responsible for validating system functionality against business requirements, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
Perform manual functional testing (System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, UAT support).
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
Validate fixes and perform re-testing.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers.
Participate in requirement review meetings.
Ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.
Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in software testing (adjust as needed).
Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) & SDLC.
Experience in writing and executing test cases.
Knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
Experience with API testing (Postman).
Exposure to automation tools (Selenium) is an advantage.
ISTQB certification is a plus.
