Full-Time Science Tutor - Job Description
We are seeking a committed Full-Time Science Tutor to teach and support students across IB and IGCSE curricula. The tutor will deliver engaging instruction in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, helping students strengthen scientific understanding, inquiry skills, and exam readiness. The role requires the ability to teach and communicate effectively in both English and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science to students from primary to high school.
- Deliver lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as needed.
- Guide students in scientific inquiry, lab skills, investigation writing, and data analysis.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments, exams, and practical components.
- Support school coursework, lab reports, IAs, and revision planning.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Track progress, offer constructive feedback, and maintain academic records.
- Collaborate with parents and the academic team to ensure learning goals are met.
- Foster curiosity, scientific thinking, and a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Science Education.
- Experience teaching international curricula (IB/IGCSE) preferred.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and scientific methodology.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IB Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Knowledge of IGCSE Physics, Chemistry, and Biology syllabi.
- Experience guiding students through lab reports, IAs, and investigation tasks.
- Previous tutoring or international school teaching experience.
