Full-Stack Engineer (Real-Time Prediction System)

The Stack
- Frontend: React, TanStack (Router + Query), Tailwind CSS, Radix UI.
- Runtime/Edge: Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, D1, AWS ECS/Fargate.
- Backend/Data: TypeScript (Effect.ts), Confluent Kafka, Apache Flink.
- Tooling: NX monorepo, Pulumi, GitHub Actions.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Traffic Frontend: Build and own real-time prediction interfaces and portfolio views for a massive user base.
- Edge Architecture: Design transactional patterns using Cloudflare D1 and Durable Objects.
- Backend: Develop Kafka consumers for market execution and settlement using Effect.ts to ensure 100% correctness.
- AI-Native Workflow: Operate in an environment where AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor) are daily working tools to maintain high velocity.
Requirements
- TypeScript Mastery: You think in types and have built production SPAs with modern React patterns.
- Cross-Stack Agility: You can move between frontend components and backend services without friction.
- Testing Discipline: You understand that in a system handling real transactions, rigorous testing is a core part of the build, not an afterthought.
- High Autonomy: You thrive in a remote, async-heavy environment and enjoy owning a problem from start to finish.
Nice to Haves (Strong Plus)
- Experience with Effect.ts or functional programming in TypeScript.
- Background in event-driven systems (Kafka, message queues, transactional outbox).
- Experience with financial UI, prediction markets, or real-time data platforms.
- Familiarity with WebSocket-based features and design systems.
