What You Will Be Working On
You will join a high-performing engineering team building and enhancing modern enterprise digital platforms that support critical business operations. Working across the full technology stack, you will design intuitive user experiences, build scalable backend services and APIs, and develop cloud-native applications that integrate with multiple internal and external systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle—from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment and production support. You will work closely with product owners, designers and fellow engineers to deliver secure, scalable and maintainable software using modern engineering practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop and maintain responsive, enterprise-grade web applications using modern frontend technologies.
- Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs and microservices to support business capabilities and system integrations.
- Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable and scalable technical solutions.
- Design and implement reusable software components following clean architecture and engineering best practices.
- Develop and integrate APIs with internal systems, third-party services and enterprise platforms.
- Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimisation and cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organisational and government security standards.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing and integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, user-centric digital experiences.
- Participate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Investigate production issues, troubleshoot application defects and deliver timely resolutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards and knowledge sharing across the team.
What We Are Looking For
Frontend Development
- Strong experience developing enterprise web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience implementing responsive web design, accessibility standards, performance optimisation, component-based architecture, state management and cross-browser compatibility.
Backend Development
- Strong experience developing backend applications using Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications and external systems through API-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of scalable application design and software engineering best practices.
Cloud & DevOps
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes container platforms.
- Experience using GitLab or Git-based source control.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Data & Integration
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of application integration patterns and data exchange between enterprise systems.
Software Engineering & Security
- Understanding of secure software development principles and application security best practices.
- Experience performing code reviews, unit testing and integration testing.
- Familiarity with software quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to produce maintainable, scalable and well-documented code.
