About the RoleWe're looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Python/Django on the backend and Next.js on the frontend. You'll work across the stack — from REST API design to cloud deployment — and play a key role in shaping our engineering practices around testing and code quality.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django (backend) and Next.js (frontend)
- Design and implement RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability
- Write and maintain automated tests using Pytest (backend), Jest (unit/integration), and Playwright (end-to-end)
- Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Containerize applications and services using Docker
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the stack
Required Skills & Experience- Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework
- Solid experience with Next.js (React-based) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Practical knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Pytest, Jest, and Playwright
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Build, Cloud Deployment, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM patterns (Django ORM)
- Strong understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Nice to Have- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.)
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Prior experience in an agile/scrum environment
