Full-Stack Developer - Fintech (6-Month Contract - Part Time)

The Role

We're looking for a full-stack developer on a 6-month part-time contract to help accelerate & lead the build-out of a fintech lending platform. You'll work independently with the founder, spearheading the development and testing of a Loan Origination & Management System for a new SME lending business.

• Flexible schedule (part-time 20-30 hours per week)
• 6-month initial contract, with potential to extend based on fit and business needs
• Hybrid - mostly remote (in Singapore), but must be available for in-person meetings in Singapore on short notice, preferred to work at least 1-2 days a week in our Cecil Street office
• Strictly Singaporean or PR only (agencies and foreign software development firms - do NOT contact us, we are not interested)

What You'll Work On

• Borrower-facing loan application, documents, offer, agreement, and servicing flows
• Admin case workspace: credit review, offers, agreements, disbursal, reconciliation, collections
• Postgres schema, RLS policies, APIs, and cron jobs
• Integrations: e-signing, email, bank data
• PDF generation, audit logging, cron-driven workflows
• Credit underwriting automation workflows
• You may also be required to work on other projects and development tasks not related to this core lending platform

Tech Stack

Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres, Tailwind v4, shadcn, Resend, DocuSeal.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of full-stack experience shipping production web apps (React/Next.js + a typed backend + SQL)
• Strong fundamentals: clean, scalable, secure, well-tested code - not a vibe coder, strong technical understanding and ability to read code is a must
• Comfortable with TypeScript in strict mode, relational data modelling, and writing SQL
• Working knowledge of auth, RLS/row-level security, and handling sensitive data responsibly
• Fluent with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) and can use them to multiply your output withoutcomplete reliance and with full understanding of the code being generated - you review, verify, and own every line that ships
• Basic understanding of finance - as we are developing a LOS/LMS, you need to have existing knowledge of basic finance & accounting concepts such as: debits, credits, interest, compounding, double entry ledger, etc.
• Self-directed: can take a spec/idea/goal, ask the right questions, and ship high quality production grade code without hand-holding
• Based in Singapore, available for weekly in-person meetings, ideally you are open to working from out Cecil Street office at least 1-2 days a week.
• What you'll need to bring: your own development machine, your own tooling & development stack (we expect you to already be set up with the tools that make you effective, though we can discuss any additional requirements as needed).

Nice to Have

• Fintech / lending / payments domain exposure
• Familiarity with Singapore financial services context (MAS, MLA, PDPA, etc)
