Role: Front Office Python Developer - Derivatives Trading (Global Financial Markets Firm)

An established global financial markets platform is seeking a Front Office Developer to partner directly with a structured products trading desk, delivering technology solutions that enhance pricing, hedging, risk management and trading workflows.

Based in Singapore, this role sits at the intersection of Trading, Quantitative Research and Technology, providing an opportunity to work on business-critical applications that support front-office decision making and trading activities.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop and support front-office applications used for pricing, hedging, risk management and ad-hoc trading activities.
2. Partner closely with traders to understand business requirements and rapidly deliver practical technology solutions.
3. Collaborate with quantitative and technology teams to ensure trading requirements are incorporated into the design and implementation of applications.
4. Build robust, production-grade tools and applications, ensuring appropriate testing, monitoring and support processes are in place.
5. Contribute to the evolution of trading workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology.
6. Support the transition of tactical solutions into strategic platforms where appropriate.
7. Develop a deep understanding of structured products and derivatives trading activities.

Requirements

1. Strong Python development skills with experience building production-quality applications.
2. Professional software development experience, including software design, object-oriented programming and deployment of production systems.
3. Experience leveraging modern AI tools and technologies within production environments.
4. Ability to quickly understand business requirements, design effective solutions and deliver under tight timelines.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
6. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, front-office environment with shifting priorities.
7. Experience or exposure to structured products, equities derivatives or related trading activities would be advantageous.
