Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Management: Responsible for supplier screening, evaluation, and relationship maintenance to build a stable supply system, ensuring reliable sources and qualified quality. Actively seek and develop new suppliers to procure higher quality and lower-priced fresh products.
  2. Shelf-Life Management: Strictly control product expiration dates, promptly handle items nearing expiration to minimize losses. Perform inventory planning and control to reduce costs and increase turnover.
  3. Procurement Planning: Develop reasonable procurement plans based on customer and supplier situations to ensure marketplace sales. Adjust product mix seasonally to guarantee timely procurement and shelf placement of in-season bestsellers. Track arrival dates and quality, complete morning procurement coordination, and create purchase orders.
  4. Product Operations: Manage overall category operations. Maintain marketplace product information, including product setup, descriptions, listing/delisting, promotional activity applications, and maintenance of third-party reports.
  5. Gross Profit Management: Analyze and control procurement costs based on sales and gross profit situations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement improvements to increase gross profit margin.
  6. New Product Sourcing: Source products and obtain quotes from multiple channels according to sales needs. Compare options to reduce costs, improve gross profit, and set up new products to meet customer demand.

Candidate Profile:
We seek a professional procurement specialist proficient in the international food ingredients market and trade rules, with multilingual skills (English essential). Must possess sharp market insight, precise cost control, excellent negotiation and coordination skills, solid supplier management, and risk response capabilities to ensure ingredient supply, optimize cost and quality, and enable efficient supply chain collaboration.

  1. Familiar with local major markets for vegetables/fruits, aquatic products, meat, dried condiments, and alcoholic beverages/hard drinks. Possess abundant resource (accumulated resources) to ensure diverse procurement channels with price advantages.
  2. Understand the supply chain structures of key local players and skillfully utilize upstream resources.
  3. Minimum 3 years working experience in a local leading platform/company, with at least 2 years independently responsible for a product category.
  4. Over 3 years of relevant product procurement experience, familiar with procurement channels and market conditions for frozen foods, fresh foods, etc.
  5. Excellent price negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
  6. Strong supplier management skills to establish stable supply channels.
  7. Language Requirements: Proficient in English and Chinese.
  8. Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and adaptability skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responsible, and conscientious.
