Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate freight quotations for import and export shipments via air, sea, and land transport
- Analyze shipment details including weight, volume, destination, and Incoterms to determine pricing
- Request and negotiate competitive rates with carriers, shipping lines, and agents to optimize costs
- Calculate total logistics costs covering freight, customs, handling, and surcharges to ensure profitability
- Respond promptly to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to support timely sales processes
- Maintain and update rate sheets and pricing databases for accurate reference
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams to assess feasibility and ensure smooth execution
- Monitor market trends and freight rate fluctuations to adjust pricing strategies accordingly
- Follow up with clients on submitted quotations to secure business and clarify details
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 1 year of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or pricing roles entry-level candidates including fresh graduates may be considered
- Experience specifically in air and sea freight pricing is preferred
- Completion of O or A-level education with good communication skills
Other Information
- Location: Changi Airfreight Centre
- Basic Salary: SGD 2,500.00 to SGD 3,000.00 per month
- Working Hours: 9 AM - 6 PM, 5.5 days a week with alternate Saturdays off
- Probation Period: 3 months
