MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To execute air & sea freight shipment customer services which includes:
- Handling & providing customer service ie. Answering of freight enquiries from customers and overseas agent
- Perform account management for existing customers
- Generating quotations to customers
- Negotiate rates with carriers/liners/agents
- Handling bookings with shipping lines/airlines & co-loaders
- Follow up on export/import/cross trade shipments and updating of shipping status
- Prepare shipping documentation
- To coordinate air/sea freight shipment (pick up & deliveries), ensuring timely updates and constant support leading to improved service performance rendered to customers
- To monitor shipments and ensure compliance with customers SOP
- To act as liaison between customers and operations
- To ensure efficient service level is delivered for all shipments
- To work closely with Sales team to identify potential business opportunities for new businesses.
2. To execute full scope of AOG 24-7 services:
- As a core member of AOG 24-7, you are required to remain contactable always on the company assigned mobile. You will attend to emails promptly and standby for urgent collection/delivery after your official working hours.
- To perform the full scope of customer service and operations roles, these includes: quotes, cargo reservation, shipment confirmation, collection/delivery, shipment execution, permit declarations, cargo transfers, pre-alerts and billings.
- To ensure the office and warehouse premises are secured at all times.
- To drive safely and observe all traffic regulation.
3. To carry out any other duties as may be expected in a post of this level.
REQUIREMENTs
- Diploma in Logistics
- 2 years working experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics
- Able to work shifts and on-call
- Forklift License (preferred)
- Class 3 driving License (preferred)
