This opportunity is for a skilled music producer to craft a Weeknd-inspired beat for a short film, with the potential to produce up to three additional tracks in diverse styles such as house/deep bass, RAYE-inspired, and baile funk/house. The project centers on a four-part short film series influenced by global sounds, cultural mythology, high fantasy, and action-driven narratives. The music will play a pivotal role in enhancing the cinematic experience and supporting the imaginative themes of the films. All collaboration will be remote, and the series is intended for festival submissions and studio pitches.
Responsibilities
- Compose and produce an original Weeknd-inspired beat tailored for a short film
- Develop up to three additional tracks in varying genres (house/deep bass, RAYE-inspired, baile funk/house) as required by the project
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to align musical direction with the film's themes and narrative arcs
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready audio files within agreed timelines
- Adapt musical elements to fit the evolving needs of the film series and provide revisions as necessary
- Ensure all music produced is original and cleared for festival and studio submissions
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience as a music producer, preferably with credits in film, TV, or multimedia projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across genres, especially pop, house, and global music influences
- Proficiency in music production software (e.g., Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio)
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate narrative themes into compelling musical compositions
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness in a remote working environment
- Strong understanding of copyright, licensing, and music clearance for film use
