Freelance Motion Graphic Designer

A motion designer or animator is required to produce a 30-second animated hero video for a website homepage. The animation will feature a human-like 3D avatar AI assistant interacting across different industries, such as hospitality, healthcare, and retail. The video must loop seamlessly and emphasize natural character animation through subtle facial expressions and gestures. Alongside the primary banner animation, additional deliverables include shorter scene cuts, a mobile-optimized version, poster frames, and source files. The project demands attention to both performance optimization and visual polish, with web-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Animate a 3D avatar character with realistic micro-expressions, gestures, and light lip-sync
• Create a looping 30-second hero video for website homepage integration
• Demonstrate avatar interactions in 23 industries (e.g., handing a keycard, printing a ticket, or assisting customers)
• Produce shorter cutdowns for each individual scene
• Develop a mobile-optimized version of the animation for responsive use
• Provide poster frames and export all deliverables in MP4 and WebM formats
• Deliver clean, professional typography for overlay text
• Supply all working project files with organized structure for future use

Skills and Requirements

• Strong background in 3D character animation and motion design
• Proficiency in animation software such as Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D
• Experience with facial animation, subtle expressions, and human-like gestures
• Familiarity with creating web-optimized video assets (MP4/WebM compression and quality balance)
• Ability to design seamless looping animations suitable for hero banners
• Knowledge of typography and integration of text into animated content
• Portfolio showcasing character animation and motion design for digital platforms
• Availability to work remotely under a contract arrangement with clear timelines
