Freelance Content Uploader (Isomer Next Platform)

Role Overview - We are looking for a meticulous freelance part-time uploader to assist in transferring editorial content from a printed magazine to its online website. This is a straightforward data entry and formatting role using Isomer Next, a block-based website builder. No coding or programming knowledge is required.

To maintain high productivity and meet deadlines, each magazine issue is split between a team of two freelancers.

Key Responsibilities

. Article Uploading:

- Create new pages on the website by copying and pasting approved text from provided documents.

- Set up page headers, including the category (Article), date, and article summary.

- Organize content using specific components such as Text blocks, Images, Callouts (for text boxes), and Accordions (for endnotes).

. Image Preparation:

- Crop and resize images to standard formats: portrait (700px width) or landscape (1400px width) at 72dpi.

- Upload images with accurate captions and Alternate Text for accessibility.

- Prepare a specific Hero banner image (1920 x 720 pixels) for the main site banner.

. Formatting & Accuracy:

- Ensure all subheaders are changed to Medium Heading format.

- Format endnotes in Microsoft Word before uploading to ensure correct numbering and superscript styles.

- Verify that all digital content strictly matches the approved PDF layout provided by the designer.

Workflow & Requirements

. Collaboration: You will work directly with an assigned designer and must remain in close communication throughout the process.

. Timeline: The turnaround time for a single article is 2 to 3 working days after activation.

. Process: You will receive a package of materials (finalized HTML, images, and PDF layout) to begin work. After the initial upload, you will perform minor edits based on feedback before publication.

. Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and simple image editing (cropping/resizing) is essential.

Project Structure - Each magazine issue consists of approximately 10 to 11 main articles plus supplemental pages such as the Content Page, Director's Note, and New Books section. This workload is distributed between two freelancers to ensure timely delivery. The entire issue cycle typically spans 2 months from the first article approval to final publication.
