About Us
A Space Between is a premium, private copractice space dedicated specifically to mental health professionals and their clients. We provide a safe, healing-centred, and aesthetically pristine sanctuary for therapists to conduct their practices.
The Role
We are looking for a warm, meticulous, and highly organised Freelance Community Manager. This role is highly hands-on and requires someone who understands the subtle art of holding space in a quiet, sensitive environment.
Your day-to-day will roughly be a 90/10 split:
- 90% Community & Operations: You are the guardian of the space — warmly greeting practitioners, flawlessly resetting therapy rooms to exacting standards, managing the front desk, and keeping the pantry and physical space immaculately clean and well-stocked. Community Managers will also facilitate and organise community meetups and events.
- 10% Marketing & Admin: Supporting our digital presence by creating sensitive, engaging social media content (comfortable being on-camera for IG Stories/Live is a huge plus!) and assisting with simple Canva graphics and administrative duties.
The Schedule
We operate on a completely flexible, ad-hoc scheduling system.
- Shift Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (primarily Monday to Saturday, with rare Sundays for deep cleaning)
- How it works: We use a shared calendar — whenever you see an open date, simply put your name down to claim it.
- No minimum: There is no strict minimum number of shifts you must fulfill per week. You can pick up as many or as few shifts as you want to fit around your timetable, other freelance work, or personal life.
Who We're Looking For
- Background in hospitality, retail, F&B, or clinical admin preferred
- You know how to hustle on your feet and have an eye for physical details
- Deeply empathetic, independent, and doesn't require micromanagement
- Fast-learner, no handholding needed
- Reliable, dedicated, takes initiative
- Basic design/social media skills (Canva, Instagram, TikTok) and comfortable creating content
- Inclusive Hiring: Because of the flexible nature of this role, we strongly welcome and encourage applications from single mothers, part-time students, minorities, and individuals from marginalized or in-need communities. If you are looking for a supportive environment that fits around your life, we would love to hear from you.
