  • Lead the design and execution of business risk and anti-fraud policies to safeguard ShopeePay's growth and operational integrity.
  • Oversee the development of key indicators and fraud detection metrics, ensuring continuous monitoring, timely flagging of risk exposures, and ongoing enhancement of mitigation strategies.
  • Guide cross-functional alignment by partnering with Local Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to refine requirements and drive delivery of risk-control solutions.
  • Review daily risk signals and operational trends, consolidating insights into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Assess business processes, market shifts, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging risks and inform forward-looking policy decisions.
  • Provide direction on the design of dashboards, monitoring frameworks, and analytical tools that support accurate reporting and early detection of anomalies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across policies, workflows, and investigative practices through data-backed evaluations and structured experimentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in risk management, fraud prevention, payments, financial services, or e-commerce.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading and developing high-performing analysts, setting clear priorities, and elevating analytical rigor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical experience in data management, modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Strong track record of translating data-driven insights into policies and operational strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in digital payments, e-wallets, banking, or related industries is preferred
