Job Description

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Regional FP&A based at Group Head Office in Victoria, this role acts as Finance Business Partner for multiple sites. The role supports Site Managing Directors (Site MDs) in all aspects of establishing and leading a high performance culture in all areas of finance for the Site.

It partners the Operations, Project Delivery, Commercial and Customer Services team at Site and Group (Site & Group Leadership) to bring insight, drive action focused performance reporting and connected planning. Key to the role is collaboration with other Group Stakeholders, in particular the Group Commercial Director and Group FP&A. The role will work collaboratively with the Site Senior Finance Managers, who's primary responsibilities are financial control focused, to understand to ensure the drivers of recent results, ensure site forecasts, budgets and plans are fully considered and align on risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Business partnering

. Partner the Site MDs and Site & Group Leadership to establish and drive a forward-looking high-performance culture across the site, with particular focus on providing commercial and cost management insight, identifying opportunities for timely deployment of capital expenditure and supporting the development and tracking of key finance metrics.

. Work collaboratively with the Group stakeholders, to ensure the drivers of recent performance, actionable measures to drive performance and forecasts / plans, are communicated and understood.

Business reporting & insight

. Work collaboratively with Site Senior Finance Managers to understand Site monthly reporting and ensure that this is clearly communicated to Group FP&A.

. Build a detailed understanding of Service Fee, Power and Other contractual revenue. Perform a detailed review of Site actuals on a routine basis, ensuring these are in line with business KPIs and contractual terms.

Planning

. Partner the Site MDs and Site & Group Leadership to develop considered forecasts / plans that are stretching but achievable and underpinned by robust assumptions. This will include: site in-year forecasts, risk and opportunities, budget, five year business plan.

. Communicate these plans to Group stakeholders, ensuring key dependencies, risks and opportunities are understood.

Capital management & project accounting

. Prepare business cases to support operational performance and optimise return on investment.

. Work with project managers to support timely deployment of capital expenditure and obtain an accurate view of project cash flows.

. Work with the Site Senior Finance Managers, developing a strong rapport and create a strong sense of belonging and pride in the team and establish effective and efficient ways of working.

Evolution

. Support the assessment and execution of strategic initiatives including: investments (existing site redevelopment, new sites), potential transactions and joint venture opportunities. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on these matters.

. Co-ordinate and drive all future focused strategic financial discussions, working across functions including Commercial, Operations and Delivery, for your respective Sites.

. Drive profitability by managing budgets, optimising costs, and ensuring the financial stability of the data centres.

. Evaluate capital expenditures and investments related to expansion, technology upgrades and facility improvements.
