Job Summary:
We are looking for a safety-conscious and reliable Forklift Operator to handle materials and goods efficiently within our warehouse or facility. The role involves operating forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, move, and stack goods and materials
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines
- Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts
- Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator license/certification (as required by local regulations)
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Good understanding of safety practices and procedures
- Ability to read and follow instructions, labels, and documentation
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when needed
- Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with different types of forklifts (e.g., reach truck, pallet jack)
- Basic inventory or warehouse management knowledge
- Team player with good communication skills
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
