Forklift Mechanic / Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment for our customers. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently both in the workshop and on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues on forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Troubleshoot diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems
• Conduct field service repairs at customer locations when required
• Maintain accurate service reports and repair records
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation
• Keep workshop tools and work areas clean and organized
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and maintenance recommendations

Requirements

• Experience repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to lift tools and parts when necessary
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with major forklift brands such as Toyota, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Hyster, Linde, or Crown
• Certification or technical training in mechanics or heavy equipment repair
• Experience with battery-powered and electric forklifts
• Welding or fabrication experience is an advantage
