Job Purpose
Move cargo safely using a forklift. Load and unload cargo from trucks and containers. Always follow safety rules.
Main Duties
- Drive forklift safely.
- Load cargo onto trucks for delivery.
- Unload cargo from supplier trucks.
- Stuff cargo into containers.
- Unstuff cargo from containers.
- Move cargo to the correct location in the warehouse or yard.
- Check cargo label before moving.
- Handle cargo carefully to avoid damage.
- Follow loading instructions and lashing instructions.
- Report damaged cargo or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Check forklift before use and report problems.
- Wear PPE and follow safety rules.
- Keep work area clean and safe.
