Job Description

Job Summary

You will coordinate daily warehouse and logistics operations, supervise departmental activities, and ensure accurate handling, storage, and quality control of food products to support smooth delivery and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to plan and execute daily operational activities
  • Assign and communicate daily schedules for local logistics to ensure timely deliveries
  • Review daily sales and warehouse progress to monitor operational performance
  • Supervise all departmental activities to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Manage capacity for internal and external customers to optimize resource use
  • Oversee receipt of deliveries and verify accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming shipments
  • Ensure proper sorting of food items by type to maintain product organization
  • Check packing of food products to confirm correct mixing of spices and proportions for quality masala powders
  • Plan and arrange cleaning and maintenance of appropriate storage areas to uphold hygiene standards
  • Prepare and handle day-to-day delivery and receiving documents accurately
  • Follow delivery instructions from the director and customer packing requirements precisely
  • Supervise storage and rotation of frozen food items using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to maintain freshness
  • Label packaged food items correctly and verify product labels for compliance
  • Monitor quality and quantity of food items, inspect stock for defects, and report issues to management
  • Manage incoming raw materials, trading goods, and outgoing finished products to ensure accurate inventory flow
  • Ensure storekeepers maintain cleanliness and storage safety of food products consistently
  • Participate in stock counting and quality control processes to support inventory accuracy
  • Be prepared to drive and deliver goods during emergencies to maintain service continuity
  • Communicate progress, problems, and issues clearly with management to facilitate timely resolutions
  • Review operational metrics regularly and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of the food industry to support quality and operational standards
  • Flexibility to work any shifts, including split shifts and rotational weekly offs
