Job Purpose
To support ALS Technical Services by delivering 1st and 2nd party food safety audits, training, and consultancy services to food industry clients, while assisting the Senior Manager in technical coordination, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Services Delivery
- Conduct 1st and 2nd party food safety audits (supplier, internal, gap assessments) against standards such as GFSI-aligned schemes, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, food safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Provide food safety and quality consultancy, including system development, improvement plans, and corrective action follow-up.
- Deliver food safety, HACCP, and GMP training (on-site or online) to clients and internal teams.
- Prepare clear, accurate professional audit reports, corrective action plans, technical summaries, and recommendations within agreed timelines.
Client & Project Support
- Act as a technical contact for assigned clients under guidance of the Senior Manager.
- Assist with technical reviews, proposal inputs, project tracking, and documentation.
- Support planning and coordination of audits, training sessions, and consultancy projects.
- Ensure work complies with ALS quality systems, confidentiality, integrity, and impartiality requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/ bachelor's degree in food science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in the food manufacturing, food safety, quality assurance, and/ or auditing.
- Practical working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety management systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting audits, supplier assessments, or food safety consulting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Singapore regulatory requirements (e.g. SFA).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of food safety principles, regulatory compliance and industry standards.
- Training delivery experience that supports professional certification
- Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills for client interaction and training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel for audits and client support as required.
