Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Oversee daily food production processes (planning, scheduling, execution)

  • Ensure production targets and deadlines are met
  • Monitor machinery and production lines for efficiency
  • Troubleshoot operational issues quickly to avoid downtime

Quality Control & Food Safety

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards like HACCP, ISO, or local regulations
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in the facility
  • Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues

Team Management

  • Supervise production staff and operators
  • Assign tasks and monitor workforce performance
  • Train staff on safety procedures and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Coordinate with other departments (logistics, procurement, maintenance)

Planning & Reporting

  • Plan production schedules based on demand forecasts
  • Track KPIs such as output, wastage, efficiency, and downtime
  • Prepare daily/weekly production reports
  • Suggest improvements for productivity and cost reduction
