Core Responsibilities:
Oversee daily food production processes (planning, scheduling, execution)
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are met
- Monitor machinery and production lines for efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational issues quickly to avoid downtime
Quality Control & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards like HACCP, ISO, or local regulations
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in the facility
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues
Team Management
- Supervise production staff and operators
- Assign tasks and monitor workforce performance
- Train staff on safety procedures and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Coordinate with other departments (logistics, procurement, maintenance)
Planning & Reporting
- Plan production schedules based on demand forecasts
- Track KPIs such as output, wastage, efficiency, and downtime
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports
- Suggest improvements for productivity and cost reduction
