The Food Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure food products are produced safely, efficiently, and consistently according to company quality standards, food safety requirements, and production targets. The role supervises production staff, enforces hygiene and safety practices, and supports continuous improvement in productivity and compliance.
Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities (mixing, processing, cooking, packing, labeling, storage, dispatch).
Allocate manpower, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to meet production plans and deadlines.
Ensure production output meets specifications for quantity, weight, appearance, and packaging requirements.
Monitor machine operation and basic troubleshooting escalate breakdowns and coordinate repairs with maintenance/vendor.
Enforce strict compliance with food hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Conduct routine checks on cleanliness of work areas, equipment sanitation, and personnel hygiene.
Verify correct labeling, batch/lot traceability, and expiry date control.
Support implementation of SOPs, GMP/SSOP, HACCP/ISO (if applicable), and ensure staff follow procedures.
Lead and supervise production operators/packers coach staff on SOPs and correct work methods.
Train new staff on hygiene rules, production processes, and safety practices.
Track attendance, performance, and discipline report manpower issues to management.
Monitor usage of raw materials and packaging minimize wastage and report variances.
Ensure daily production records are completed accurately (output, downtime, rejects, cleaning logs).
Assist in stock checks for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods when required.
Identify process issues and recommend improvements to productivity, quality, and cost control.
Support audit preparations and corrective actions for non-conformities (internal/external).
