The Food Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing of food products. This role leads production staff, enforces hygiene and food safety standards, monitors output and quality, and coordinates with QA, maintenance, warehouse, and planning teams to meet production targets.
Supervise day-to-day food production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Lead and allocate manpower, assign tasks, and ensure adequate coverage for each production line/shift.
Enforce food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP practices).
Conduct daily line checks, monitor CCP/quality checkpoints, and ensure correct documentation is completed.
Troubleshoot production issues (process, manpower, machine, material) and escalate when required.
Train, coach, and discipline operators ensure new staff follow SOPs and work instructions.
Coordinate with QA for inspection, product release, and corrective actions for non-conforming items.
Coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Monitor raw material usage, minimize wastage, and maintain proper inventory and traceability records.
Prepare shift reports: production output, downtime, rejects, yield, incidents, and improvement actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, productivity, efficiency, cost control).
Ensure all products are packed, labeled, and stored correctly according to requirements.
