The Standard, Singapore is looking for an F&B Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our distinctive food and beverage venues.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will lead our service teams, drive operational excellence and commercial performance, and bring The Standard's unconventional, creative and people-first spirit to life.
This role is ideal for a dynamic hospitality professional who enjoys being present on the floor, developing people and creating vibrant dining and bar experiences.
What You'll Do
Operations and Guest Experience
- Lead the daily operations of multiple F&B outlets and maintain a strong presence during peak service periods
- Ensure service standards, operating procedures and brand expectations are consistently delivered
- Monitor outlet readiness, cleanliness, ambience, equipment and overall service flow
- Oversee In-Room Dining standards, including order accuracy, delivery timing, presentation, billing and tray clearance
- Engage with guests, gather feedback and create personalised, memorable experiences
- Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations promptly and professionally
- Support private events, group bookings, activations, themed nights and promotional campaigns
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach and supervise bartenders, servers and service colleagues
- Conduct regular briefings, on-the-job training and performance coaching
- Build a positive, energetic and professional working environment
- Encourage colleagues to bring personality, warmth and creativity to every guest interaction
- Prepare and manage rosters according to business levels, leave requirements and productivity targets
- Ensure appropriate manpower coverage during peak periods, weekends, public holidays and special events
- Maintain training records and ensure colleagues are trained in service, safety, hygiene, POS procedures and guest recovery
Commercial Performance
- Monitor outlet revenue, covers, average spend, labour costs, inventory, wastage and operating expenses
- Support cost-control initiatives while maintaining service quality
- Identify opportunities to improve footfall, upselling, guest engagement and profitability
- Review business performance with outlet leaders and implement practical improvement plans
- Provide operational feedback on menus, beverages, guest preferences and market trends
- Collaborate with Culinary, Marketing, Culture and Programming, Finance and other hotel teams on promotions and events
Compliance and Administration
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Ensure operations comply with applicable Singapore food safety, liquor licensing and workplace safety requirements
- Conduct outlet inspections and follow up on operational, maintenance, hygiene and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate handover logs, guest feedback records, incident reports, training records, inventory reports and action plans
Who We're Looking For
You are an energetic, approachable and commercially minded hospitality professional who combines operational discipline with creativity and warmth.
You will ideally have:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar F&B operations role
- Experience within a hotel, lifestyle hotel, restaurant, bar or high-volume dining environment
- Experience managing multiple F&B outlets, such as restaurants, bars, poolside service or In-Room Dining
- Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, service standards and guest relations
- Proven experience in team supervision, coaching and training
- A good understanding of revenue tracking, labour productivity, cost control, inventory, wastage and POS procedures
- Working knowledge of Singapore food safety, hygiene, workplace safety and liquor licensing requirements
- Strong communication, administrative and problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
