Job Summary
The Merchandiser Supervisor is responsible for overseeing merchandising operations, ensuring product displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and aligned with brand standards. This role involves supervising a team of merchandisers, coordinating with sales and trade marketing teams, and driving in-store execution to maximize sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Merchandiser Management
- Supervise, guide, and support a team of merchandisers across assigned locations
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor daily activities
- Train and coach team members to ensure consistent execution of merchandising standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure team compliance with display standards and in-store execution
- Resolve team issues and maintain strong team morale
Operational & Individual Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate merchandising activities in line with sales and marketing strategies
- Liaise with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams for promotions and product launches
- Monitor overall stock performance and escalate replenishment issues as needed
- Analyze sales and merchandising data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and present reports on campaign performance, sales performance, and merchandising effectiveness
- Conduct periodic audits to identify gaps and implement corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, with at least 1 year in a lead role prefered
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good understanding of retail operations and visual merchandising principles
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
- Willingness to travel between store locations
- Willingness to work overtime when required
