About Us
The Technology Development Department encompasses 3 key groups Technology Systems, ProductPerformance & Acoustics and Simulation. This role sits within the Technology Systems group mainly working onfluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and sensing technologies. Our Technology Systems Team is more than just a group of engineers - we are trailblazers in delivering cutting-edge technical systems (fluids, thermals, sensingtechnologies, etc) for Hair care and other new category products. Based in Singapore and the Philippines, ourteam is at the forefront of innovation, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in productdevelopment.


Our engineers take full ownership of delivering projects from early stages of development until start ofproduction. With varying levels of product maturity, providing them with unparalleled exposure to the productlife cycle. With access to a state-of-the-art lab, simulations, and analytical tools, they are able to harness theircreativity and technical expertise to bring world-class products to market.
This position is recognised as a solid independent contributor possessing an in-depth knowledge of fluiddynamics & thermodynamics and looked upon by junior engineers to provide directions. This individual isexpected to lead discipline team to resolve technical challenges within the project, while demonstratingeffective communication skills. It is necessary for someone in this role to be able to do the work and effectivelyteach what they know to other employees.


About the Role
Organisational:
Actively contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and contribute to the long-termtechnology roadmap.
Participate in team initiatives to improve existing processes and new ways of working aligned withproject delivery processes and organisational objectives.
Provide valuable insights and inputs for annual goal-setting processes, utilizing your expertise to ensurethe organization's success across diverse projects.


Design & Development:
Deliver high quality computational fluid dynamics models to guide the development team forstreamlined design iterations.
Collaborate with the team on effective and efficient computational fluid dynamics approaches deliveringconsistent and accurate simulation models.
Verify fluids performance with established test methodologies, and development of new test methodsto confirm product function and thermal protection.
Contribute to fluid and thermodynamics disciplines for your assigned project, ensuring its successfulexecution from start to finish.
Consistently deliver high-quality output within specified timelines, aligning with Project CreationFramework and maintaining a strong focus on meeting project milestones.
Take ownership and responsibility for relevant requirements, either by overseeing their development orproviding final sign-off, ensuring that they align with project goals and objectives.
Develop sound and robust solutions to problems of varying complexities with good engineeringfoundations, data judgement, system analysis, defined scopes, and constraints.
Regularly update the project delivery team of key progress updates, risks, and work collaboratively todefine and implement engineering solutions.


Career development:
Foster personal career growth by actively collaborating with the line manager to create acomprehensive plan encompassing both immediate and long-term objectives.
Demonstrate proactive communication skills by regularly updating the line manager on progressthrough dedicated one-on-one reporting sessions.


Continuous Improvement:
Expected to proactively identify areas of improvement and to propose and implement improvements inprojects and processes.
Be able to navigate circumstances filled with uncertainties and challenges, requiring the ability to adaptand find innovative solutions.

About You
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Aerospace/Automotive/Mechanical engineering or equivalent, preferred applicantshave a Master degree.
3 years of experience in mechanical product analysis & development, preferably in the consumer electricalappliance industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a continuous learning mindset, whereadaptability and collaboration are essential.
In-depth knowledge in the field of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics.
Knowledge and working experience on flow measurement techniques like PIV, shadowgraphy, pressuretransducers, etc is a must.
Working knowledge on the principles and application of computational fluid dynamics.
Intermediate user in Fluent/OpenFOAM, ANSA meshing or relevant CFD and meshing softwares.
Experience in hardware and software for measurement and data acquisition (e.g. Flow meters, National
Instruments, FLIR, etc)
