Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Floor Tiler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing floor and wall tiles in residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and calculate required materials including tiles and adhesives for project areas
- Prepare surfaces by levelling with plaster, sand, or cement
- Cut tiles into required sizes and shapes using hand tools or bench-mounted equipment
- Install a variety of tiles, including ceramic, clay, slate, marble, and glass
- Fix tiles securely and apply grout, ensuring proper alignment and finishing
- Lay decorative and intricate mosaic tiles where required
- Tap and position tiles accurately to ensure proper adhesion without damage
- Follow technical drawings or site instructions to complete tiling works
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite
- Work at client premises (residential and commercial locations)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in tiling works
- Ability to perform related renovation works such as plastering, basic plumbing, electrical works, and hacking
- Good attention to detail and strong workmanship skills
- Able to read measurements and follow work plans accurately
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Able to work in non-air-conditioned environments (outdoors, heat, dust, etc.)
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
