Fleet Maintenance & Logistics Coordinator / Operations Assistant (Vehicles & Weighbridge)

Summary: A multi-faceted role primarily responsible for the coordination of thecompany's lorry maintenance and repairs. The role secondarily includes the criticaloperation of the weighbridge system and providing support for warehouse pickingoperations to ensure smooth daily logistics

Proposed Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: Fleet Maintenance Coordination

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all lorry maintenance issues, includingbreakdowns, routine servicing, and repairs.

2. Procure quotes and coordinate with external lorry workshops to arrange for allnecessary servicing, repairs, and inspections, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

3. Manage the schedule for all routine vehicle servicing and inspections, aiming tomaximize vehicle functionality, longevity, and minimize downtime

.4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vehicle service histories, repairs,and costs

.5. Liaise with drivers and management regarding vehicle status, estimated repairtimes, and availability.

6. Arrange for replacement vehicles or temporary solutions to maintain distribution schedules during lorry downtime .

Secondary Responsibilities: Weighbridge & Warehouse Operations

7. Operate the weighbridge to accurately record the in-and-out tonnage of thecompany's fleet and incoming supplier goods.

8. Ensure the security and accuracy of weighbridge data by meticulously keying allinformation into the digital system and verifying documentation.

9. Perform daily picking and preparation of small, loose-item orders (typically 60-100 items) for online market distributors.

10.Maintain a clean and organized picking area to ensure efficiency and accuracy inorder fulfillment.General Responsibilities11.Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties as tasked by superiors to support theoverall operations of the distribution hub.
