Responsibilities:
. Workclosely with the Director of Shipbuilding to provide technical and businesssupport.
.Possess a solid understanding of the structure and systems of large vessels andlogistics vessels analyse market demand and operational realities andparticipate in the review of newbuilding design proposals from technical andoperational perspectives, including hull structure, main engine and keyequipment configurations, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements andoperational needs.
. Bewell versed in compliance requirements act as the Company's external technicaland compliance interface, liaising in a timely manner with classificationsocieties on matters relating to shipping regulations and vessel designchanges analyse and assess key technical issues within projects, formulateprofessional conclusions and drive implementation prepare and review technicaland project analysis reports for newbuilding projects to support managementdecision-making.
.Coordinate with, support and guide the ship management company's newbuildingsupervision team follow up on the entire newbuilding construction process,supervise structural works, equipment installation, system integration,commissioning and sea trials, and resolve technical issues in a timely mannerassist in overall project planning and scheduling, coordinate shipyards, designinstitutes, equipment suppliers and classification societies, and promoteefficient project execution, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget andin compliance with quality requirements.
. Workin close collaboration with the ship management company to coordinate flagstates and classification societies on vessel registration, class entry andvarious statutory and class surveys for the logistics fleet supervisecompliance and timely renewal and endorsement of all certificates.
.Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
.Bachelor's degree or above in Shipping Management, Naval Architecture,Shipbuilding Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a relateddiscipline.
. Atleast 10 years of experience in vessel engineering, newbuilding projects,shipyards or technical roles with shipowners.
. Solidtheoretical foundation in naval architecture and marine engineering, withsystematic knowledge of vessel structures, propulsion systems and keyequipment.
.Hands-on experience in newbuilding projects, with familiarity across the fulllifecycle from concept design and detailed design to construction,commissioning and delivery.
. Goodunderstanding of international conventions, classification society rules, aswell as the working practices and requirements of maritime authorities andclassification societies.
.Experience as a Chief Engineer (Senior Engineer) or possession of equivalenttechnical qualifications will be an advantage.
.Strong technical analysis, logical reasoning and report-writing skills, withthe ability to distil complex technical issues into clear and actionableconclusions.
.Strong teamwork awareness and leadership capability rigorous, pragmatic andefficient working style high standards of integrity and self-discipline, witha good professional reputation in the industry.
. Goodbusiness communication and written skills in both English and Chinese, asrequired for liaison with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
