We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Fixed Income Product Specialist / Trader - Global Private Banking.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver fixed income strategies, market commentary and product solutions for private bank and retail wealth clients
  • Conduct issuer credit coverage and product due diligence
  • Support Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors in providing Fixed Income recommendations and bond portfolio reviews
  • Provide training, thought leadership and education to RMs/ICs on fixed income products
  • Grow Credit-Linked Structures business in close collaboration with Structure Products team
  • Place and execute orders for Fixed Income products received via OMS and direct dealing clients (execution only)
  • Process orders in OMS for bonds primary issues promptly and adhere to the best execution policy
  • Ensure prompt bond price discovery to RMs/CSEs/ICs
  • Design and approval of new or materially changed fixed income products, ensuring it meets both global and local regulatory requirements, aligns with global strategy, and addresses customer needs; maintain thorough documentation of the product design process for proper audit trail
  • Participate and conceptualize on platform related projects to enhance workflow, automation and streamline processes. This includes delivery, UAT and commercialization of the project post go-live
  • Create and distribute ad-hoc and monthly MIS reports to management
  • Manage trading and product regulatory risk items to ensure adherence and minimize operational risk
  • Back-up key activities of team members

To be successful you will need:

  • 5-10 years prior experience in private banking and wealth management industry with strong knowledge on fixed income products
  • Relevant qualification in Finance or Economics or related disciplines. CFA charter holders well regarded
  • Strong understanding on fixed income platform and industry trends would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
