Responsibilities
Job Description
Testing Delivery & Accountability
- Own and be fully accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of testing services across the assigned portfolio, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with bank standards.
- Lead, manage, and oversee the day‑to‑day execution of testing services delivered by bank‑appointed vendors, ensuring outcomes meet agreed objectives.
- Drive planning, coordination, and execution of all testing‑related deliveries in collaboration with UOB stakeholders and testing service providers.
- Proactively manage scope changes, ensure timely communication with all relevant parties, and factor impact assessments into delivery plans.
Governance, Standards & Transformation
- Partner with testing service providers and internal stakeholders to review, challenge, provide expert feedback on, and formally sign off test strategies, test plans, and all testing artefacts.
- Work closely with the Test Governance team to ensure consistent adoption of approved testing methodologies, standards, and tools.
- Coordinate and support testing health checks, internal audits, and governance reviews as required.
- Actively contribute to testing transformation initiatives, continuous improvement programmes, and innovation forums.
- Collaborate with the Test Engineering Lead to define and ensure fulfilment of domain‑specific test engineering requirements.
Senior Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication
- Function as a key interface with senior UOB stakeholders, including senior management, technology leadership, and business heads, providing clear, confident, and fact‑based communication on testing delivery, risks, and outcomes.
- Represent the testing portfolio in senior governance forums, including Project Steering Committees (PSC), Programme Working Groups (PWG), and Programme/Portfolio Governance Committees (PWC), providing authoritative updates, escalation summaries, and decision‑support insights.
- Provide clear, concise, and fact‑based updates on testing delivery status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to support executive decision‑making.
- Build credibility and trust through transparent communication, strong control discipline, and consistent delivery performance.
- Act as the first point of escalation for all testing‑related issues, managing complex stakeholder and vendor escalations with sound judgment and professionalism.
Vendor & Resource Management
- Establish, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with Vendor Test Managers and Test Leads across assigned domains.
- Own vendor governance outcomes, including performance management against SLAs, KPIs, quality metrics, and contractual commitments.
- Manage vendor resourcing models to ensure adequate capacity, capability, continuity, and alignment to portfolio demand.
- Engage vendor leadership as required to drive delivery improvements, resolve escalations, and ensure accountability.
- Protect the bank's interests through disciplined vendor oversight, risk management, and delivery assurance.
Reporting, Controls & Performance Management
- Define, quantify, track, and report testing delivery status, SLAs, KPIs, and transformation metrics for the accountable portfolio.
- Ensure defined testing transformation targets are achieved and sustained.
- Maintain strong audit‑ready discipline, including traceability, documentation quality, and governance compliance.
- Engage stakeholder communities to gather feedback on testing service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement, feeding insights back to the Test TCoE team.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated leadership in enterprise‑scale testing delivery, governance, and transformation within large, complex financial services environments In Private Banking.
- Proven experience operating confidently in senior and executive‑level stakeholder environments, including governance committees and leadership forums.
- Strong background in vendor management, large‑scale delivery oversight, and complex stakeholder engagement.
