Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Functional Business Analyst to lead complex, high-impact initiatives that drive transformation across UOB's business and technology landscape. You will manage projects end-to-end ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and quality while fostering innovation, leveraging data and AI, and enabling long-term growth for the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic objectives into product requirements and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- As SME (Subject Matter Expert) collaborate with Business Unit Specialists to elicit and review business requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge related to domain and processes.
- Analyse and document the to-be business and operations processes based on the agreed requirements and/or function points, perform impact assessment.
- Responsible to analyse and define detailed functional and non-functional requirements based on business requirements including transition to delivery partners.
- Monitor and manage risk/issues related to requirements and scope creep.
- Work with testing teams to translate business requirements into test scenarios, ensuring testing and delivery quality.
- Own and control overall project scope collaborating with all stakeholders including technology, business, operations, compliance, group info security, and drive execution.
- Manage relationships with partners across teams (Business Units, Operations, Technology, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance) to drive alignment and ensure seamless delivery.
- Leverage data & AI on requirements, delivery, optimise outcomes, and inform decision-making.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare documentation, and provide metrics/reporting as required.
- Drive re-engineering of processes and introduction of new technologies to improve efficiency and client experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge base related to domain processes and app features
- Provide training on project and application enhancements
- Champion use of AI to deliver scalable, sustainable change at pace.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by creative problem-solving and adoption of new solutions, including automation and AI.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, IT or related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in business analysis or related discipline in banking, investments, or financial services.
- Proficiency in project delivery methodologies (Agile, Product Framework, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform under pressure, and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Experience in automation and AI-driven initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Experience in Client Onboarding, Banking Operations or Digital Banking
- Experience in project or product management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Exposure to driving innovation and AI adoption within financial services.
