Our client, a major facilities management service provider and leading managing agent, is seeking a seasoned Senior / Fire Safety Manager (Facilities Operations) to step into a high-impact leadership role overseeing statutory compliance, fire emergency preparedness, and critical facilities operations for a large-scale facility in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all statutory duties as the officially appointed Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) for the premises.
- Manage Fire Certificate renewal processes, conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments, and lead fire safety audits.
- Champion and lead fire emergency preparedness exercises and drills.
- Lead investigations into fire incidents, false alarms, and fire protection system failures.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the other Authority representatives regarding all fire safety matters, ensuring strict compliance with the Fire Safety Act and SCDF regulations.
- Support Facilities Operations Managers in overseeing daily facilities operations and contractor performance.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance program and actively participate in long-term maintenance planning.
- Review maintenance reports, technical submissions, assist in system health monitoring, and conduct obsolescence reviews.
- Support statutory inspections, certifications, mobilization, transition, and asset handover activities.
- Actively participate in operational meetings with Authority representatives to ensure service delivery aligns with expectations.
- Serve as a core member of the emergency response leadership team.
- Coordinate rapid responses to critical events, including fire, power outages, flooding, ACMV failures, and major operational incidents.
- Support the development and implementation of robust recovery plans. Prepare detailed incident reports, root cause analyses (RCAs), presentations, and management updates.
- Support Authority audits, compliance inspections, and conduct thorough internal compliance checks.
- Track and drive the closure of audit findings and corrective actions, ensuring unwavering compliance with contract specifications and standard operational procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a currently Registered Senior Fire Safety Manager (SCDF).
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management.
- Proven track record in managing complex fire safety systems within large-scale institutional, industrial, or government facilities.
