We are partnering with a leading organization in the oil and gas trading sector to recruit a Financial Reporting Specialist. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial performance in a fast-paced environment characterized by complex deal structures, market volatility, and stringent compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end closing activities: shipment-level P&L review, inventory reconciliation, derivative accounting, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis on Income Statement and Balance Sheet movements.
- Enhance finance processes through efficiency improvements, automation, and stronger controls.
- Monitor hedging activities and ensure compliance with IFRS 9.
- Reconcile P&L between Finance and Market Risk, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare regulatory submissions, government surveys, and ad hoc reports.
- Collaborate with Group Financial Reporting to support monthly reporting requirements.
- Manage external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Requirements:
- CPA or equivalent qualification with minimum 4-5 years of external audit experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively
- Broad financial acumen, with working knowledge of tax considered an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with familiarity in Power Query viewed as a plus.
