We are looking for a Financial & Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join us.
Job Overview
This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and is part of Anext Bank's Finance team. This role supports the Financial Controller in all aspects of Finance related matters, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Functions includes (but not limited to):
Regulatory Reporting
- Preparation of regulatory submissions to MAS such as MAS Notice 610, 649 etc., and monitoring of regulatory ratios on a timely and accurate basis, including capital requirements as per MAS Notice 637 and the preparation of associated Pillar 3 reports
- Assist with MAS information requests and queries on MAS returns
- Assist with the review of MAS consultation papers and impact assessment on new products and regulatory requirement
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as internal and external auditors and effectively managing audit queries from these stakeholders
- Perform periodic reviews of policies and procedures for compliance with internal control requirements
Financial Accounting, Reporting and Control
- Assist in the preparation of manual journal entries for month-end close
- Perform required month end balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations (bank and intercompany)
- Support payment activities
Other Ad Hoc Duties:
- Other ad hoc requests and projects as required, including implementation of new systems, processes and controls
- Contribute to automation efforts in streamlining reporting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA or ACCA and equivalent
- > 5years banking experience, preferably in a wholesale bank and/or have experience auditing financial institutions
- Well versed in financial reporting standards, MAS regulations such as MAS Notice 610, 649, 637 etc. and banking products
- Driven, independent, hands-on and result-oriented person, with ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Strong in process re-engineering and data management, with a keen eye for detail to identify anomalies in reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
