Job Overview
The FP&A Manager will play a key role in driving financial planning, analysis, and decision support for Safran Landing Systems Services & Support (SLSSS). This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, management analysis, and supporting strategic initiatives—including the financial management of a new plant extension and successful migration to a new ERP system—ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budget and regular forecasting processes in close coordination with operational and business teams
- Monitor and analyze monthly financial results (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide insights into variances against budget/forecast
- Prepare and deliver regular financial reports and dashboards for management review, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Support business decision-making with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment case evaluation
- Manage intercompany reporting, transfer pricing, and ensure alignment with Group policies
- Lead financial analysis on operational performance: sales, cost structure, productivity, and key project profitability (e.g., MRO contracts, service packages)
- Work closely with Operations to track and report on operational KPIs, ensuring alignment between financial and operational objectives
- Partner with Operations and EDB stakeholders to support grant applications, compliance requirements, and related reporting matters
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, IT, HR) to drive process improvements and optimize resource allocation
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data in ERP and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, Group standards, and external regulatory requirements
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and support management with timely and relevant analysis
- Play a key role in the digitalization and continuous improvement of financial processes, including automation and integration of analytics tools
- Support and provide financial oversight for the new plant extension, including capital investment analysis, project budgeting, monitoring financial milestones, and reporting progress to management
- Lead and coordinate the finance team's activities related to the migration to the new ERP system, ensuring accurate data migration, process alignment, user training, and minimal disruption to financial reporting and business operations
- Active contribution to Continuous Improvement Project
- Participate actively in contribution to HSE development and improvement
- Any task assigned by Finance Director
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or recognized professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, controlling, or related finance roles within a multinational company. Prior experience in the aerospace, MRO, or industrial sector is a distinct advantage. Experience in managing capital projects (e.g., plant extension) and overseeing or supporting ERP migration projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Solid experience with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Power BI). Ability to ensure accurate data integrity and handle large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, IT, and other departments; experience in tracking and reporting on operational KPIs; ability to support governmental grant (EDB) application and compliance processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously, including involvement in major projects such as plant extensions and system migrations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset; able to analyze variances, identify root causes, and implement process improvements.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and teamwork skills. Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment with evolving priorities.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
