Job Description

Job Summary

Base in Singapore HQ working with SG accounts team, Malaysian Accounts team and 3rd party booking keeping team for India and Australia. Lead the financial planning and analysis efforts for the APAC region, driving strategic decision-making through insightful financial modeling, risk management, and collaborative business partnering with regional leadership and external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the APAC region to establish financial targets and guide resource allocation.
  • Conduct variance analysis to evaluate actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic initiatives and investment decisions, enabling data-driven business growth.
  • Collaborate with regional and country leadership teams to deliver financial insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by challenging assumptions and facilitating performance improvement initiatives across business units.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess business cases for investments, new initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions, ensuring financial viability and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Serve as the primary regional liaison to external accounting firms in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and India, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the organization's financial health and sustainability.
  • Prepare and distribute timely, accurate management reports for subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and India, including monthly and quarterly financial reports for regional and corporate leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards and deadlines, maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data within corporate systems.
  • Lead and coordinate subsidiary external audits to successful completion, addressing audit findings and implementing recommendations.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting regulatory frameworks in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Experience managing multiple subsidiaries financial operations.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including at least 3 years in a managerial role with regional consolidation and audit coordination responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with financial planning systems such as Hyperion or SAP.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or MBA.
